Stevie Ooi
Co-Founder & CEO
Stevie is a serial entrepreneur who has been in the location and telecommunication business for more than 10 years. Before entering the location industry, he was an outstanding sales manager in the air cargo Industry for more than 15 years and was often topping sales revenue targets set by his employers due to his excellent salesmanship.
After his departure from the air cargo industry, Stevie founded his first company in 2002, EinfoAsia Pte Ltd (“EInfo”). Einfo was the first onlinedotcom directory in Singapore. Einfo consolidated all the information from local directories and provided an easy way for businesses to build their own mailing or calling list to sell to the target market of their choice.
In 2006, Stevie was hired by AGIS Pte Ltd, one of the top mapping and navigation companies in South East Asia at that time. At AGIS, Stevie was their Director of Special Projects, he was in charge of strategic business development and sales. He was the one who secured Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson & O2 as customers for AGIS. His efforts brought AGIS into a new level as AGIS mapping application was pre-installed in some of the earlier generations smart Nokia & later Samsung’s phones.
After his departure from AGIS in 2008, he founded MarketingWorx Pte Ltd (“MW”), which was a company that delivers SIM value added services such as news, lottery results, sports results, etc. StarHub, M1 & SPH were few of their anchor customers. It was during his time in MW where he saw the opportunity to do something more with the SIM cards by using it as a platform for tracking purposes, which led to the founding of W-Locate Pte Ltd.
As the CEO of W-Locate, Steve is in charge of developing strategic partnership, channel sales and acquisition of key customers.
Sam Tan
Project Director
During his stint in GPS Lands, Yong Chin oversaw the solutions team and introduced indoor and outdoor positioning solutions to the commercial and industrial segments. Some of the customers he handled in GPS Lands include the Ministry of Home Affair, NCS Pte Ltd, A*STAR, DSTA, Singapore Land Authority and Changi Airport Group.
Prior to joining GPS Lands, he was a project officer in DSTA. He was in charged of projects in DSTA in the areas of land and sea based sensors technologies. During which, he pioneered the use of non-intrusive infrared sensors to screen human for signs of fever during SARS pandemic period, which now is a widely accepted method globally. Sam was also awarded for this sensor innovation with the following awards, IES Prestigious Engineering Achievement Award 2003 for Infrared Fever Screening System and TechMuseum Award under Affymetrix Health Category USA San Jose in 2004.
As the Project Director, Sam handles all key projects related to the FIND business.
Alvin Goh
Finance Manager
Alvin is an experienced accountant in full set accounting, including accounts receivables, accounts payables, payroll and incorporation matters.
Alvin has completed his CPA requirements from CPA of Australia and graduated with Bachelor of Commerce with major in accounting and information System in The University of Queensland, Australia.
Immediately after graduation, he joined a manufacturing company. and with his involvement, the local SME achieved strong global expansion. He later joined NGO, an internet public address registrar APNIC, which has given him the opportunity to reach out to different 56 countries in Asia Pacific.
Back in Singapore, Alvin joined Crimson Logic, an eGovernment solutions provider, as a financial planning and analyst.
Since 2013, Alvin has been employed under WLC. He currently assumes the responsibilities of the full set of accounts for WLC, financial planning, foreign incorporations and financial reporting. He is also appointed as a company director for WLC’s Malaysia branch office.
